About Jouke de Vries

Prof. Dr. Jouke de Vries is the current President of the Board at the University of Groningen. After studying political sciences in Amsterdam, Jouke became a professor of Public Administration at the University of Leiden back in 1999. In May 2015, De Vries was appointed professor of Governance and public policy at the University of Groningen. For several years he was dean of the eleventh faculty of this university (the Campus Fryslân) in Leeuwarden. Since October 2018, he has been president of the Executive Board of the University of Groningen.
