We’re pleased to announce that during Innovation Day on July 3, prof. dr. Matthias Heinemann will present the FSE Deeptech Pioneer Fellowship – a new initiative by the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) at the University of Groningen that supports entrepreneurial researchers aiming to transform scientific breakthroughs into real-world deep-tech innovations.
The 12-month fellowship is designed for early-career researchers with promising technology-based ideas that have the potential for significant societal or industrial impact. Supported by Nationaal Programma Groningen, the program enables academics to take their research beyond the lab, providing selected fellows with financial support, mentorship, entrepreneurial training, and access to the broader innovation ecosystem. The first three fellows have been selected this month, with a total of 18 fellows to be selected over the course of the next three years.
The FSE Deeptech Pioneer Fellowship has been launched to accelerate the transformation of cutting-edge research into real-world solutions to tackle societal and technological challenges in areas like climate change, food, safety, and health. Join us on the 3rd of July to learn more about how the fellowship is already empowering the first cohort of fellows in generating impact! Sign up here
